As to be expected from being one of the most visited villages in the Royal forest of Dean, Goodrich has a good variety of accommodation in the form of hotels, B&B's, holiday cottages and inns. The village has also a good selection of restaurants and tea shops.
The Inn On The Wye is a medium sized family run hotel,
situated in the beautiful Wye Valley
only yards away from the famous Wye river
Privately owned, The Inn on the Wye offers a unique blend of a family run hotel, professionally managed and presented, with an atmosphere that only customer care and quality can create.
The reputation for fine fayre draws people from far and wide to the Poachers Restaurant, where an extensive A La Carte menu is presented that delights the most discerning tastes, together with an interesting and good value wine list. In addition a comprehensive selection of bar meals are served in the Stable & Coach Bars.
The former 18th century coaching inn has recently been refurbished and now provides 10 en-suite bedrooms, each with colour TV, telephone and all the usual facilities.
The food served here is all home cooked and our chefs prepare a vast range of dishes from a relatively modest bar snack to a more robust choice from the à la carte menu. On Sundays a traditional roast is available in addition to the normal menu.
The gardens provide an outdoor picnic and seating area against a backdrop of the beautiful Wye Valley. For children there is an enclosed play area complete with climbing ropes, swings and a slide.

Granton House offers superior, comfortable en-suite accommodation in beautiful surroundings and serve delicious breakfasts, using local and home made produce
John and Liz Bloxham offer a very warm welcome at Granton House Bed and Breakfast. They are situated between Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire and are close to the Forest of Dean and Welsh Borders. The house has a secluded, south west garden, nestling into the valley and looks onto a conservation orchard and Coppet Hill beyond, which has many interesting pathways and is both a nature reserve and part of the Wye Valley Walk. Hay-on-Wye and Cardiff are less than an hour's drive away. They have private parking and secure lockup for bikes and fishing tackle and facilities to dry clothes for walkers.
Granton House B&B is an ideal location for a holiday or short break, with plenty of activities available locally, e.g. forest trails, angling, canoeing, horse riding or golf, and there are beautiful gardens to visit nearby. The house is also located only half an hour from Chepstow horse racing. Granton house probably dates from the late seventeenth century, when it may have been two cottages.
