Hope End is wildly known for being the childhood home of Elizabeth Barrett Browning
and offers a lifestyle of tranquility and romance.
The Barrett family moved to the original Hope End in 1809, during their stay of some 23 years, Mr Barrett commissioned John C Loudon to landscape the immediate surroundings to create gardens and parkland in his inimitable style. Sadly the original house was demolished reducing it to a remnant of its former elegance. Our more recently constructed house was completed in 1878.
Peter and Sharon are enormously proud to welcome you to their very special haven where you can unwind and relax. Hope End offers a lifestyle of tranquillity. Stroll through the garden, explore and enjoy the same walks and ambience which impressed Elizabeth to become one of our great literary figures. Amble through acres of ancient bluebell woodland where wild life is prolific.
Hope End House lovingly restored and beautifully furnished in a romantic setting steeped in history.
The tranquil atmosphere is of warmth and hospitality, guests cannot fail but feel at home.
The gardens and parkland are a haven for plants, wildlife and people.
"It is exceptionally well located as a base for visiting the surrounding counties
of Hereford and Worcester and even the Welsh Marches ..."
Hope End is situated 5 miles west of Malvern and close to the historic market town of Ledbury.
It is idealy situated for walking the hills, visting events at Eastnor castle, Malvern theatre and exploring our beautiful market towns.
