Garnstone House provides comfortable accomodation in a peaceful environment with a lovely two-acre garden overlooking parkland in an outstanding rural position. It is situated one mile from the picturesque black and white timbered village of Weobley.
Garnstone House is within easy reach of the Hay Book Festival and Three Choirs Music Festival. Also near to hand are the Mappi Mundi and horse racing which can be found in the historic city of Hereford. Ludlow is to the north, here you can find a wide variety of gourmet foods and good shopping.
Accomodation: One double / one twin bedded room. Private guest bathroom. Colour television, washbasins and tea or coffee making facilities in each room. Central heating. Dinner by arrangement. Pets welcome by arrangement.
Garnstone House is set in tranquil parkland, surrounded by all year round countryside colours. The views from the house stretch west to the Welsh borders and north towards Shropshire. Hiking and driving through the area are a popular way to take in this beautiful scenery. Small towns and villages full of history are dotted in every direction. Rose Cottage is situated in beautiful north west Herefordshire, a land of cider orchards and picturesque medieval villages. Discover the delights of Hay-On-Wye, the Golden Valley, the Black and White village trail and the Black mountains. Enjoy a mooch around the antique shops in Leominster, the Mappa Mundi at Hereford Cathedral and the Judges Lodging in Presteigne.
Rose Cottage dates back to the 16th Century. Today it enjoys a new life both as our home and charming bed and breakfast accommodation. Originally an 'Open Hall House', it is a fine example of a Herefordshire half timbered building Grade II listed and noted for its massive oak beams.The oak panelled hall leads to the comfortable guests parlour with interesting books and a television.
The cottage is set in gardens and grounds of two acres and enjoys an idyllic location surrounded by farm land with views of the Black Mountains. The main cottage garden is filled with old fashioned flowers and has a fine topiary hedge with archways leading to the secret garden. On the south side of the cottage lies the orchard with a selection of fruit trees.
There is a choice of two delightfully furnished bedrooms.
The double has a private bathroom; the twin has an en-suite and a private sitting area.
On your arrival you are welcome to enjoy complimentary hot drinks, biscuits and a selection of fruit.
